three Steps to moving in

Please follow the 3 steps to move in when you arrive on campus!

  • Step One: Unload Your Belongings

    • Welcome Home! Upon arriving to campus, residents and their families should pull up to the Student Center loop at the front of Atala Hall, where a move-in volunteer will be waiting to help unload your belongings into a moving cart. Residents will be asked to park their vehicle in South Lot 4 or 5 before they head inside.

  • Step Two: Check-In at the Front Desk

    • Once you have unloaded your belongings into a cart and parked your car, your move-in volunteer will wait for you as you make your way to the front desk on the first floor of the Student Center. This is where our team will help you check in and get access to your room.

Key Details for Move-in

Below are some key details and important information regarding fall move-in.

  • Order your USF ID Card! Remember to order your USFCard, pick it up, and activate the card after checking in. Ordering your card before coming to campus will ensure your USFCard is ready when you arrive. This will be how you will access Atala Hall and your room.

  • Review the move-in checklist. Check out What to Bring for a packing list with what you should (and shouldn't) bring with you to campus!

  • Choose the height of your bed. Submit an online maintenance request for your preferred bed height before you arrive on campus. Keep in mind that lofting assistance may take longer after residents have moved in! Please do not attempt to adjust your bed height on your own! Adjusting the bed on your own can cause damage to the bed and/or potentially harm yourself.  Click here to learn more and submit your request.

  • It will be a busy day! Please be patient with your fellow residents and our staff as you move in.

  • We have a limited number of courtesy carts for residents to use. Please bring your own cart or hand truck if you have one, as we do not have a cart available for every resident moving in.

  • Arrive early! Atala Hall will open at 9 a.m. on move-in day. Residents and their families should plan to arrive when the doors open so they have ample time to move into their new space.
