The University of South Florida’s top priority is the safety of all students, faculty, staff and visitors. This page is intended to provide information about the steps the University is taking to prepare for an emergency and steps individuals should take to prepare for an emergency.
Campus Police Department
The Campus Police serve both the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus and the New College of Florida campus 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Emergency Operations Plan
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee will do everything it can to ensure safety of the campus. The University will execute its emergency action plan as appropriate, and it will at all times coordinate with local, state and federal agencies. USF Sarasota-Manatee will communicate regularly with the USF community via this Web site and mass media.
In the event of an emergency, official notifications will be updated as changes occur or there are cancellations to report. For the latest emergency information, always check www.usf.edu.
