Summer Move-In

Order Your USF ID!

As a reminder, you need to order your University ID card before arriving on June 26. This card will be your access to your residence hall. You must order it before you arrive to pick it up on June 26.

Summer B 

The move-in process for Summer B residents will begin on Friday, June 26. 

Checking In

Summer B residents will check in to the Campus Student Center/Atala Hall Service Desk between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday, June 26. During check-in, residents will pick up their student ID card and complete any necessary forms.

Courtesy carts will be available for residents to check out at the service desk. We encourage residents to bring hand trucks or carts with them to assist with the move-in process as carts are limited and not guaranteed. 

Please note: Orientation for incoming students will take place from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please check-in at the service desk once orientation is complete. Our service desk will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26.

Parking

General

  • Parking regulations are in place and enforced on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Individuals will be cited for any safety violations, such as parking in front of a fire hydrant, parking in a no-parking zone, parking in the grass, etc. Please review all of the Parking Rules & Regulations.  
  • Please do not park in any "Disabled Parking" space unless displaying a proper state-issued Disabled Parking placard, hangtag, or license plate.    
  • Please do not park in Numbered, Reserved, or Labeled parking spaces.

Parking Information: After You Move In

  • Parking permits are required to park on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  
  • All residents must purchase a parking pass through USF Parking & Transportation

If you have questions regarding your dining plan, please contact Dining Services at 813-974-0120 or via email. 

Residential Mail 

Summer residents will pick up packages and mail from the Campus Student Center/Atala Hall Service Desk. You can locate your mailing address and mailbox combination in the Housing Portal in the "Profile Information" section. Learn more about campus mail.

Move-In Checklist 

  1. Know your room assignment and roommate.
    Log in to the Housing Portal, select "Tampa and Sarasota Campus" under the Requests section, then "Assignment Summary" to view your housing assignment. This is also where your roommates and suitemates are listed. 
  2. Request your USFCard online and activate.
    Remember to bring your USFCard with you and activate it before your arrive. You must have your student ID to check-in for housing. Click here to learn more. 
  3. Pack efficiently
    Review the move-in checklist for a packing list!
  4. Connect with your roommates or suite-mates
    Communicte and coordinate what you will bring to campus. Things like printers, microwaves, refrigerators, and TVs can be shared.
  5. Choose the height of your bed.
    Submit an online request for your desired bed height before you arrive. Lofting assistance may be delayed after the rooms are occupied. Click here to learn more. 
  6. Check your homeowner's/renter's insurance
    We strongly encourage students to consider obtaining renter’s insurance to protect their personal belongings in case of unforeseen circumstances or events. Look into your homeowner's/renter's insurance to see if it covers your belongings on campus!
