HospitaBull 2023 raises more than $115,000 for School of Hospitality and Tourism Management on Sarasota-Manatee campus

HospitaBull 2023, an elegant dining event organized, prepared and served by students in the University of South Florida School of Hospitality and Tourism Management on the Sarasota-Manatee campus, raised more than $115,000 for scholarships and other programs.

The annual event took place March 28 at the Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota. About 30 students worked both the front of the house and back of the house, helping to prepare and serve the meals, and organize the event.

In addition to being a way for industry partners and others to support the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, “HospitaBull was again an event where students turned what they learned in the classroom into practice. There is nothing more empowering than learning by doing," said Cihan Cobanoglu, dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

"We are grateful for the support of our industry partners and others who attended,” he said. “Their support will provide our students with the scholarships and other support that they need to succeed."
