Construction Project
Major Construction Projects
Major construction projects, with a construction cost of $2,000,000 or more, are designed
by architectural and engineering consultants selected by the university based on qualifications
and in accordance with the Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, F.S. 287.055.
Construction services for major projects may be competitively bid or constructed under
a Construction Management or Design/Build agreement by consultants selected by the
university based on qualifications and in accordance with the Florida Consultants
Competitive Negotiation Act, F.S. 287.055.
The USF Sarasota-Manatee campus has no major projects currently in progress at this time.
Minor Construction Projects
Minor construction projects, with a construction cost less than $2,000,000, are typically
implemented through continuing services agreements with architects, engineers and
construction management firms. All continuing services consultants are selected by
the university based on qualifications and in accordance with the Florida Consultants
Competitive Negotiation Act, F.S.287.055.
