USF Sarasota-Manatee's pioneering Bloomberg Lab, which has given finance students an invaluable edge as they enter the workforce, is getting a makeover this summer, complete with 12 new Bloomberg Terminals, a new scrolling stock ticker and other enhancements. The Tampa campus also is getting a lab.

Hello, Snowbird! USF St. Petersburg welcomes new comfort dog
Meet Snowbird, a Goldador (a mix between a Golden Retriever and a Labrador Retriever), who is the campus’ first-ever comfort dog. Along with his handler, Ofc. Mark Lickenfelt, Snowbird’s job will be to deliver goodwill and quiet compassion to students, faculty and staff.

USF names new Muma College of Business dean
The University of South Florida announced the appointment of David Blackwell as the new Lynn Pippenger Dean of the Muma College of Business. Blackwell comes to USF after serving as associate dean for professional graduate programs at the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics.
