The Postal Services department is open 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM Monday through Friday. Receiving mail and parcels daily in our central receiving office and delivering what we have received in the afternoon to the pre-COVID established mail points. If your area has had some restructuring as well as personnel changes since Phase One was implemented, please keep the Mail Room advised of any changes that would affect service.
The Mail Room is processing USF mail and taking it to the Post Office at the close of business each day. The Mail Room can also facilitate UPS shipments on the University UPS account, provided the proper campus UPS Billing form is filled out.
Please be advised that outgoing mail needs to be at your department’s collection point by 2:00 PM or taken to the Mail Room at the Northwest corner of the campus before 4:00 PM in order to be processed that day. Outgoing UPS needs to be brought to the Mail Room as early as possible, preferably before 3:30 PM.
During Phase II & Phase III of the COVID-19 recovery period, the campus courier is still going to the Tampa Campus, but only on Thursdays (as opposed to the pre-COVID schedule of three times a week). If you have something that needs to go to Tampa it needs to be in Mail Room by close of business Wednesday.
Services
- Provides for the pick up, sorting, and delivery of inter-campus and U.S. mail.
- Takes delivery of and documents all incoming shipments to the Sarasota-Manatee campus.
- Provides the regional campus courier service that goes between the Sarasota-Manatee and Tampa campuses on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Shipping Notes
Trucks should enter through the Hilton Garden Inn driveway located at the north end of the property. Large trucks may NOT enter via the main circular drive because there is not enough room to turn.
Directions
Take Interstate 75 to the University Pkwy exit. Head west on University Pkwy (approx.
6 miles).
Turn right onto U.S. 41/Tamiami Trail and head north about 1/2 mile.
Make a left at 8350 N. Tamiami Trail.
