Construction Celebration: Jan. 22, 2024

New and returning students who want to live in USF Sarasota-Manatee's new residence hall when it opens this fall, are eligible for up to $4,000 in scholarships to take their place in USF history as “trailblazers” who will help shape the campus’s first residential community. USF announced the scholarships during a celebratory event marking the progress in the construction of the six-story student center and residence hall.

The housing scholarship deadline has been extended. Scholarship awards are limited and based on date of submission and until funds are exhausted.

Student Housing Construction Update: JULY 5, 2023

Workers this month reached a key moment in the construction of the first-ever residence hall on the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus. Crews have installed the first of almost 600 precast concrete panels that will make up the walls of the six-story, 100,000-square-foot student center and residence hall set to open for the fall 2024 semester. Installation of the panels will take about three months to complete.

As the latest phase of construction was beginning, former Sarasota-Manatee campus CEO Laurey Stryker was on campus and shared her excitement about the impact the facility will have on the campus and on the university.
