Week of Welcome
Week of Welcome (WOW) at USF Sarasota-Manatee is a vibrant, week-long series of events held at the beginning of each semester to help new and returning students connect with the USF community. WOW includes a mix of social, academic, and cultural activities such as campus tours, resource fairs, meet-and-greets with student organizations, and themed events.
Homecoming
Homecoming Week is an annual celebration that brings together students, alumni, faculty, and staff to honor the USF community and show school spirit. The week is filled with a variety of events, including a spirited parade, pep rallies, a football game, student competitions, and alumni gatherings. It’s a time for Bulls to unite, celebrate traditions, and create lasting memories.
USF Week
USF Week is an exciting week-long celebration dedicated to honoring the university's beloved mascot, Rocky the Bull. Held annually, the week features a variety of fun and engaging events for students, faculty, and staff, including a student vs. staff game, a lively carnival, and other student-focused activities.
Test-Free Week
Study Center takes place during Test-Free Week and is designed to help students de-stress and prepare for finals in a relaxing, supportive environment. The week is filled with events that promote mental health, well-being, and relaxation, such as yoga sessions, mindfulness workshops, and stress-relief activities. Students can also pick up study supplies, enjoy snacks, and take part in activities that foster focus and calm. Study Center offers a much-needed break from the pressures of exams, helping students recharge and stay balanced during this busy time.
Green Wednesday
"Green Wednesdays" is a fun tradition where students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to wear green every Wednesday to show their school spirit and pride. The slogan "On Wednesdays We Wear Green" has become a symbol of unity and enthusiasm for the USF community on that campus. It's a simple but meaningful way for everyone to come together and celebrate their connection to the university, fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie.
Bullpen
Bullpen: Student Engagement Fair at USF Sarasota-Manatee is an event where university departments and student organizations come together to connect with both new and returning students. At this fair, attendees can learn about available resources, discover student organizations, and pick up fun giveaways. It's a great opportunity for students to get involved, explore campus opportunities, and engage with the USF community right at the start of the semester.
