Dr. Aparna Telang is an Assistant Professor of Biology. Her research focuses on mosquitoes as major vectors of pathogens/parasites that cause human diseases using tools in organism biology, biochemistry, physiology and cell/molecular biology. She earned her Master’s in Biology from California State University East Bay and her PhD in Insect Science from University of Arizona. Prior to her arrival at USF Sarasota-Manatee, she was faculty at University of Richmond, where she taught physiology and medical entomology. At USF Sarasota-Manatee, she teaches General Physiology, Research Methods in Biology, Cellular Processes and Environmental Issues.
