Siblings chair 2026 USF Sarasota-Manatee Brunch on the Bay
A dynamic duo is stepping forward to champion student success at USF Sarasota-Manatee. Brother and sister Luke and Dr. Jennifer Bencie will co-chair the 2026 Brunch on the Bay, uniting their shared commitment to education, public service, and community engagement to support scholarships that change lives.

As we move deeper into the fall semester, our Sarasota-Manatee campus continues to thrive with meaningful activity and engagement.
On November 5, the Duvall Initiative hosted its inaugural Training Institute in Selby Auditorium. More than 65 people attended this event—from community addiction treatment service providers to department of health representatives and recovery residence employees. The institute delivered programs on medication-assisted treatment (including Narcan training) and other strategies to address pressing public health challenges across Sarasota and Manatee counties.
