Transition process update from Jean Kabongo and Brian Verkamp

Dear USF colleagues,

We hope you are well as the semester gets underway. Amid all the activity of the first week of classes, we have a few brief updates for you. To help impacted employees navigate both the employee matching and exit incentive processes, we’ve assembled the details on a single Employee Resources webpage (also accessible via the side navigation of the SM transition page). This page also provides additional information applicable to nearly all SM employees navigating the transition.

Please take a moment to review these additional Sarasota-Manatee transition updates.

  • Later today, the SMC building’s card readers will transition to the NCF system. Once the transition is complete, USF-issued access cards will no longer open secured doors. We are working with the NCF facilities team to maintain access continuity under the new NCF access system. If your unit supervisor has not contacted you and you need after-hours card access, please contact them to request it.
  • On Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. in Selby Auditorium, an informational session will include a CAPTRUST representative who will help employees work toward their personal financial goals. Employees are invited to attend in person and online via Microsoft Teams. Click here to learn more and join the session virtually.
  • Following the Sept. 1 CAPTRUST session, USF representatives will be in Selby Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing in-person support for the Exit Incentive Program. Employees are invited to visit during this time to learn more and receive assistance.
  • We expect to have representatives on campus providing direct support on September 22. We will share additional details in a future update. Please mark your calendar if you would like to attend.

As always, the following resources are available to help you:

Thank you for your partnership and support as we work together to help our students succeed in the classroom and beyond during the transition.

Sincerely,
