Department of Student Support Services

The Department of Student Support Services is designed to support incoming and current first year, transfer, and international students as well as their families and guests from the beginning of their journey at the University of South Florida Sarasota - Manatee campus until graduation.

Orientation

The Office of Orientation is committed to providing all incoming students and their families with the resources to be successful. We strive to provide excellent customer service and knowledge about the University of South Florida. We provide intentional and specific programming for first year students, transfer students, international students and their families.

New Student & Family Experience

The USF new student and family experience cultivates community and fosters a sense of belonging to aid a student’s transition into our community. As students navigate their academic, social, institutional, and emotional adjustment to college, staff and student leaders, on all three campuses, are available to provide care, support, and guidance.

Campus Life & Experiences

The Sarasota-Manatee campus provides additional campus life experiences for our students to get to know one another, feel connected to our community, and learn more about what makes the Sarasota-Manatee campus so special.

Academic Success Center

Academic Success Center provides academic support to students through subject tutoring, writing consultations, interactive workshops and resource materials.

Support-a-Bull Food Pantry

Support-A-Bull Food Pantry is a USF Sarasota-Manatee campus food pantry sponsored by the Student Government Association and All Faiths Food Bank. The food pantry is available to students currently enrolled on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to address food insecurity by providing supplemental food to students in need.

Supporting Students with Extenuating Circumstances

The Department of Student Support Services is proud to work with our students who require financial assistance due to extenuating circumstances. Our team is ready and willing to educate you on campus resources that can provide support for you in a time of need.
