Updates from our Office:
The University of South Florida (USF) and the Orientation Office continue to monitor the concerns related to COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are taking the necessary steps to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. For the latest updates on how USF is responding to the coronavirus threat, visit our website.
USF and the Orientation Office will continue to prepare students and families for their transition into the Bulls' community. The Orientation team has made the difficult decision to moveSpring Orientation sessions to a virtual format. More information will be communicated as we navigate this process
Now that you have been admitted, your next step is to sign up for an Orientation session.
Completion of Orientation is mandatory for all newly admitted undergraduate students.
Orientation Consists of Three Sections:
- Asynchronous Orientation session - Transfer students must complete an Asynchronous Orientation session via CANVAs. Students will receive an email to their USF email address 48 business hours after completing their Orientation reservation encouraging them to complete the asynchronous content.
- Synchronous Orientation Session – Transfer students must complete a virtual Orientation session via Microsoft TEAMs.. Orientation will provide university and academic information, as well as financial aid and student information. Attending a virtual Orientation session allows you to connect with your fellow classmates, and utilize our "One-stop shop" services to ensure a successful transition to the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus.
- Newly Admitted Student Appointment - Click here for your advising appointment – You will meet with your academic advisor to plan for your major, and select your first semester courses.
Your time here is going to be filled with fun, friendship, challenges, knowledge and success. You’ll gain the skills to make a difference in your area of studies and the community, but you won’t have to do it alone. We’ll be here to help you every step of the way.
Please note: The Orientation Office’s physical location is currently closed. However, we will continue to monitor all calls and emails from our remote workspace. Should you have questions or need assistance, please contact us. In order to receive the most timely and effective communication, we request that you email us and provide your University ID # in the body of the email.
